“Do what you’ve always done,” or “don’t lift over 25lbs” isn’t enough information for a woman who wants to continue exercising throughout pregnancy or return to it postpartum.

Nor is it helpful to be told to simply “stop doing” an exercise or activity that you love because you’re experiencing pelvic floor/core symptoms (incontinence, pain, pelvic heaviness/prolapse, diastasis recti, etc.)

Sometimes these topics are individual in nature, and sometimes we want to get it all out and learn just a little more about our incredible bodies and what we’re physically capable of- pregnant, postpartum, symptomatic or just curious!

Workshops include 1-2 hours of discussion and movement practice with your group, talking women’s fitness throughout a lifetime, pelvic floor and core considerations during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond, pelvic and core symptoms that are ‘common but not normal,’ and how to approach fitness throughout each season as an individual.

Info can be tailored to your group specifically, focusing on movement-based tips and cues to use right now, addressing physical and mental considerations of exercise, or how we promote the continuation and safe return to exercise for a lifetime of athleticism. These sessions can be conversational or movement based in nature and are designed with your group in mind.

Seminars and events are helpful to: healthcare providers working with pregnant and postpartum women, prenatal classes, parental support organizations, gym crews, events building community between women, etc.

  • Pelvic floor and core dysfunction: the ‘common but not normal' symptoms we should all know about (incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, diastasis recti) and how to adjust workouts accordingly.

  • How do I return to the things I love? Postpartum, post surgery, post workout hiatus?

  • What good is exercise anyway? Considering movement through a woman’s lifetime.
